My Chris came with air horns. The kind with a relay and pump, squirts air directly into the horns, not the real deal with a storage tank.
Just for anyone who missed this tidbit some years back, if your air horns shoot craps, and it's just the compressor . . . . .there is no discernible difference between the marine pump and the ones Harbor Frt sells for cheep. About $15.00 bucks, Toss the plastic trumpets, use the compressor.
Mud daubers plugged up my horns and I probably got a little carried away with the hose when rinsing them out. My 6-7 yr old HF pump got wet and is sounding a little squeaky right now, so I'm going to go get another one today.
The horns themselves are pretty indestructible, a plastic membrane, and a round disc that vibrates, and a screw to adjust the pitch.
As a side note, be aware that sometimes the horn button may lose some of it's contactatability,(that means not enuf juice gets to the horns), or the wire is too small for a long run and needs a relay. Or all the above.
Just FYI

I've had good luck bringing those pumps back to life by disassembling them, freeing up the wipers and lubing them.

Really ? Bought my replacement just tonight, I'll install it then see if I can make old pump work again. Maybe I can find a place to put those plastic trumpets that usually get tossed.
My Kubota tractor ? Neighbors golf cart ?
