"Boat Detailing" includes non-skid?

We had our sundancer detailed. I did not ask ahead of time. They did nothing at all to the non-skid on the foredeck. That's a rather large part of the boat and an even larger part of what is exposed to the sun.

Their reaction was "we never wax non-skid".

The two prior times, one did it with Sure Step, one just waxed it (slick but not as bad as you might think). So this came as a bit of a surprise to just leave it unaddressed.

I paid $10/ft for just the top side (no cabin, bottom/sides were separate). I'm not sure how that compares (it had been a while and I just do not recall).

Should I be surprised? What do most people do when they detail a boat?

Next time I will obviously ask.
