we took the boat out for the first time this season and after about 2 hours she started overheating. then white smoke starting pouring out of the engine vents and i shut her down. i was lucky that a local harbor master heard my call to the coast guard and was close by. he gave us a tow to our slip for free. but it got me to thinking....which is the best (ie cheapest and most available) tow service for this area. our home port is glen cove and we boat in the western l.i. sound. thanks.
