Caulk

Does anyone know where to by small tubes of 3M caulk? I think that I used to see it at Home Depot or Lowe's.

WM sells 3 oz tubes. I usually need only a fraction of that for the small job that I am doing and the rest of the tube goes harder than a preacher's protubus before I need it again. I keep partial tubes in the freezer but would like to buy small tubes to start.

The only small tubes I've seen are the ones of 5200 that you see at West Marine or other marine stores.

I've not seen really small tubes at either place for quite a while. I am talking small like travel size tubes of toothpaste which are .85 oz.

You can buy caulking gun size or 3 oz. size at WM and HD. Both get mostly wasted when I buy them.

You are right they have the toothpaste size I have never seen the tiny tubes

That is the size I was speaking of. West Marine did carry them.

The 2014 WM catalog presently lists the 1 oz tube of 5200 at $10.99 (3 oz at $12.99, 10 oz cartridge at $13.99) .
4200 and 4000 versions are only listed in 3 oz & 10 oz.
