I have a 2003 Chaparral 35' and the hull is in excellent shape very few scrathes, if any and no chalking. Again, this year I am planning to use Meguier products, Boat Wash #65, Polish #45 and then Premium Wax #63. Has anyone used this process and if so what were the results?

I washed our boat with a product called Krystal Kleer Super Concentrated Marine Wash (I think I got it at Wal-Mart), then Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. I tried Meguiar's wax and wasn't satisfied with the results. I applied the Cleaner Wax then wiped it while it was wet then buffed it with a 10" buffer. It looks great. The marine manager complimented me on the boat at a recent clinic. At the clinic they didn't specify which product to use but did emphasize on using what works for your boat. I used the cleaner wax last fall and surface beaded up before waxing it this year. BTW, a little help from Spray Nine works well too.

I used to use those exact products. Gave them up in favor of a polymer polish. I avoid wax now as it yellows the gel and attracts dirt.

Gregory, Thank you
If you do not mind what boat wash did you use before puting on Pro Polish?

Wash the boat with Dawn dishwashing detergent to strip off all the old wax buildup and start fresh with Pro Polish.

That'll do it. For routine washing after the Pro Polish, I use car wash products that won't strip wax. The Pro Polish seems to hold up well to weekly washing. I usually re-apply to the topsides late in the summer. I re-apply when the black streaks no longer wash off.
