My Taylor Fenders are still working but they are are truly a mess. I clean them every year with rubber cleaner and a protectant but each following year they seem to be dirtier. Is there a best way to do it or is it just what it is

I use a white wall tire cleaner bleach and a rough dish sponge (green side).
I have also use brillo pads with some success.

Mineral spirits or even brake cleaner will work wonders. Follow with any rubber protectant. Won't leave the rubber tacky like acetone does.

Al I go through this every yr. also, and use something from Tru-val. called Oops. This is the last yr, because I went and bought fender covers for this yr.
Cudos for Taylor--I had 2 infusion 10 X 26 and the pump valves failed and they replaced both. Something to keep in mind of my mistake. I sent them inflated, and paid for oversz. bx. Next time I'm de-flating and compress them into a small bx.

Acetone is quickest & most efficient. If fenders are or become sticky, you have other issues with fenders. Been doing my fenders & yellow power cords this way since '93. If sticky; they have a plasticizer exudation problem usually brought on by uv light. I finish up my cleaned cords & fenders with 303 plastic & rubber protectant.

I used Aurora Boat Scrub and Boat Clean Plus with good results.

For those fenders and power cords, use a product with toluene. It won't "melt" the vinyl / rubber.
