What's best to use to clean up an Achilles hypalon dighy? I used a little soft scrub w/bleach on a small spot which seemed to work well but not sure if the bleach will do any harm. Any other suggestions?

Amazon's makes a great inflatable cleaner that orked very well on my white Achilles that had sort of a ribbed texture. My grey Achilles with smoother texture not as good, but it cleaned it up nicely.

I've used Comet & it does a great job with a hard brush. Makes it look new.

The Comet isn't too abrasive?

What does Customer Service at Achilles recommend ? When in doubt go to the source.

A while back I used the dinghy (Achilles Hypalon) to reach the side of the boat away from the dock for some cleaning. When I got back to the dock I noticed that I had spilled some Crew Klean 'n Shine on the dinghy tube and used a wet cloth to wipe it off. It left a brilliantly clean spot - so I had to do the rest also.

Just wiped some Crew Klean 'n Shine on the tubes with my hands, let it stand for a while and then used a wet cloth to clean it off and gave it a good rinse afterwards. Works very well and easy. Gave the dink a good coating of 303 afterwards and she was as good as new.

You can clean a Hypalon dinghy with bleach with no problems. I always clean mine with rubber gloves and a rag soaked with bleach. Or you can use bleach with a spoon to scrape all the sea creatures off the bottom. Wash the bleach off with running water and a rag after application.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I ended up using Simple Green and Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.......cleaned up real nice! Solar,
I'd be afraid to use straight bleach on it though......wondering about the long term effects.

I've actually found the store bought inflatable cleaners such as Mary Kate to work like magic. Comet works, but in comparison to the inflatable cleaner, the storebought ic was much much much easier.
