The boat was built about 70 years ago and the copper has been attached ever since. The dilemma I face is that the copper is most probably brittle and if it is taken off for a surveyor inspection, as the surveyor said he requires, then it would be difficult to reattach. However the boat would only be worth while buying, from my perspective anyway, if the hull under the copper is sound.
