OK, I know everyone on this forum loves to take care of their boats, but is there an easy way for lazy folks?

I have a new boat from a run-of-the-mill maker. Are there any one-step products that people have tried and that work. I can only get at the hullsides with a power buffer during winter lay-up. What can I do to keep it looking good during the season.

People have been waxing cars for like 100 years,
carnuba and elbow grease can't still be the best solution.
 
I've been using Aurora products and been very happy. Use their Boat scrub to clean and Boat shine to protect. The boat shine will last most of the summer season above the rub rail and even longer on the hull below the rub rail. Great stuff if the fiberglass isn't too oxidized. No need for a buffing machine, just apply the boatscrub and rub it in until you get a nice shine. Apply boat shine,let it dry to a haze and buff off. I also used their Sure Step on the nonskid and it also works great and even improves the grip when it gets wet. You don't need a lot of elbow grease to apply this stuff and it holds up quite well.

Hire someone to wax it???? [}}:-|>>]

Try using Yachtbrite's Pro Polish, Boatfix sells it now.
 
I use 3M cleaner wax, a buffer and my wife.
The boat yard uses a polishing type wax and a buffer.
 
First, I have my boat professionally detailed every early spring. The rest of the year all I do is wash the boat several times a month with ZipWax. I put it into a container which attaches to the hose and spray it onto a wet boat. Then I thoroughly rinse off the ZipWax and then dry the windows, hatches, plastic curtains and all SS with a good large bath towel which has NOT been rinsed in fabric softener. It is the crummy water at my dock that leaves all kinds of spots and dulls the finish if I do not dry it off. My boat is stored in a covered slip, so it doesn't get too much UV exposure.

This has worked for me for the last 10 yrs. My boat is 17 yrs old and looks beautiful!
