Engine compartment bilge

I too always have a bit of water in the bilge.

Is there anything better than Simple Green to pour down there to clean the area?

I want to leave some kind of cleaner there for a couple of weeks until I take the boat out again.

No oil down there, just water.
 
Any good cheap degreaser will work. Or Dawn dish soap for that matter. Then scrub it, flush it out and keep some kind of pine or lemon based cleaner in it if you want.
