ever hear of a "float-in"

Where do you hang the crappy 16 pound speaker? How do you clean fogged up eisenglass without scratching it? How do you deal with the guy in the van (flybridge) parked in front of your MG (bow rider)? How many friends can you fit in the trunk (anchor locker)? So many issues it makes my head hurt!!! [vbg]

Yes I heard of this before I can't remember which port in Long Island but someone that did boat washing at the local marinas told me about it, frankly I thought the guy was I little crazy. I remember the name of his business was boat bitch I'm thinking it was Port Washington. If I recall he said they showed movies near Louis but again I'm not sure this guy was all there, he did have a good business cleaning boats and looked like he did a good job!

Very good questions...LOL!!

(Slight nitpick, shouldn't the anchor locker be on the bow? Maybe it's the 40 gallon cooler on the aft deck or swim platform. VBG)

We have a version of this in Killarney, Georgian Bay, at the Sportsman Inn. Not quite the same idea, but there is a large screen on the far side of a narrow channel that shows movies. All boats moored on the near side of the channel can watch, and tune in the audio via their on-board radio. It's a 'kinda' cool feature for all the transients...

Mahopac Marina on Lake Mahopac does this once a year or so - they hang a big screen from a crane, and allow those at the docks to watch a movie. As most lake boats are pontoon boats or ski boats, visibility is usually pretty good.

As for Charles point, there's some skinny water in there at low tide - maybe they will limit their audience to runabouts.
