Fire at Minisceongo!

Saw some pics on Haverstraw Marina Facebook page. It is a houseboat tied to dock.

I spoke to a friend that has a boat on that dock they called me from the marine and while the house boat is destroyed it seems to be limited to only that. The dock shows no scorch marks and even the power remains on at the dock. As for the house boat the only thing left is the pontoons and they have been remove via a crane.

Sorry for the owners' lose but glad it was contained to only one!

My heart is with the owner, but happy that it was just one boat. The local marinas on the Hudson have suffered enough for one year.

The house boat was tied up to our pump out dock (no power stand) nobody was injured in the fire. The rub rail needs to be replaced and one piling was scorched, so that will be replaced also. Not his normal slip(blocked by Sound Marine barge)no other boats were around as we are just starting to launch boats

Some of us at PBM owe you guys alot over there. Thanks to you having so many boats out during Sandy we still have our boats. Im sure if I had stayed I would be looking for a replacement. Cant thank you guys enough.

Our pleasure, it's what neighbor's do. Our charter states:".....To promote boating on the Hudson...."
Beside, Safe Harbor during a storm is something every boater hopes not to need but equally hopes is available.
