New to me boat spashing in Freeport. I haven't been out that way in some time. I'm good from Zachs but what's the actual route from cowmeadow park to zachs. I see I have to go under the loop draw bridge and the wantagh. I have a 37 silverton convertible. Wondering if I have to be concerned about calling them to open bridges. I don't think so but would like some feedback.

With antennas down at mid tide and no outriggers I can clear the Wantagh in my hatteras 38 convertible. You should be ok

The Wantagh is the lowest. As CC stated, Anything under mid-tide should be fine with antennas, riggers, etc down.

thanks folks, I'll time it accordingly. Now, leaving cowmeadow area, I'm assuming I keep to the western channel?

I think it's yachtsmens cove? Not my marina obviously. Just so happens it's where the boat is.

doug, very easy you're going to be coming up Hudson canal then past my yard. stay on the east side of the canal as you get to the mouth as it gets really shallow on the west side before making the turn west, follow the bouys up to the loop draw bridge. stay east of the change bouy by the split just before the bridge, also shoals there.
