Fuel

Anything "boating" is $$$$. From fuel to a lightbulb. I guess it's assumed if you can afford a boat you can afford to pay more for everything. Probably true (but not right) in some cases but not true in a whole lot others. Shame. I know more than a few people who got into & out of boating quickly after realizing the exorbitant costs for so many things.
My personal favorite boating "over the top" is I can install a full house generator on my house, natural gas powered, auto on switch for little more than $6,000. But a generator in my little 28 foot boat is $10,000 or more. I absolutely love that!!! Lol

My favorite is my spot light bulb on the bow blew and the best price I could find on all the boating web sites wa $48. I googled the GE number on the bulb and found it for 8 bucks on a trucking web site.

Don't forget you get $0.10 per gallon off as a HM member!

Good point Allen! I can buy some extra shirts on Kaua'i with that discount. Lol!

We still have no fuel in Englewood. Sandy knocked the pumps into the water and they're still not fixed yet. But I guess even if they fixed them it wouldn't matter, since we still don't have any power.

I get fuel at Liberty Landing this time of year, they sell fuel all winter so it's always fresh.

Greg NO POWER? Time to mover to HM! Water, deep water slips and wait yes we even have power:) I know how much you love to run your genny but you really shouldn't have to do this while at dock.
