Great Paconic Bay to Westhampton

I'm in a 34' cruiser, debating if the trip is reasonable. I'll be coming out of Port Jefferson around Orient Point through the Great Paconic Bay on to West Hampton the 1st week of August.

Also how long it should take?

All help appreciated. 1st time in LI
