I converted to using MarineBeam exclusively about two years ago; have pimped them here a few times. They have some other pretty cool products on their site too. Got a terrific 12v charger cord for my MacBook Pro for only 40 bucks, for instance. They really understand boats.

+1 George can you PM me?
Thanks
Bill

“My LUMATEC radar arch lights are about twice as bright as my old 60 watt Halogen lights were and they only draw 3.4 amps.”

I was very impressed with the Lumitec lights as well. I have the underwater and the “Anywhere” lights. Are the lights that you are referring to in the above comment the Caprera lights, as I have been considering installing those as well and are looking for a good reference on them.

My halogen recessed lights are on dimmers, does anyone know if the LED’s discussed here are dimmable?
Thanks,
Jerry

Jerry I don't believe my LUMATEC LED lights can be dimmed. I never looked into dimming them though. The dimmer can always be bypassed if needed.

Most halogens use a different type dimmer tan the LEDs. When I replaced mine, the old dimmer pretty much gave me just two levels of dim.
Here is guide from our friends at MarineBeam.

Billy I just noticed your request for a PM, sorry I missed it. Still needed?

Bill and George, thanks for the quick response.
Have a great day. Jerry
