Memorial Day Weekend

We went to our "winter restaurant", Restaurant X last night for a great meal. I did not slip and fall, nor was the building rocking and rolling...

Actually most of these happened in Westerly but regardless I can only blame my self.
I only go to restaurant X when I have a gift card. Extremely expensive. Yesterday I took the kids to a place you probably won't remember the name to, it's called Hogan Diner. My son had personal pizza, my daughter had chicken fingers and fries and I had potato soup. $16.20!!! No one can beat that.

Heading up to the marina soon. The wind will only be gusting up to 37 MPH today.

I think some of these gusts are stronger than yesterday

Just got back from picking up vegetables for the garden. Packing up the pup and heading to the marina.

Staying in the marina today and tonight. May hit Bowline tomorrow. Early indications are mid eighties next weekend so I think I'll wait for the first overnight in Bowline. Hope this wind doesn't blow too much water into Haverstraw.

They might have trouble shrink wrapping the boat in these winds Mike.

We welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Hogan to our dock today for a couple of hours. He looked a little tired and winded making his long journey out to the end of Blue Dock but after a few beers he seemed to recuperate nicely.

Well, the slip that was reserved to him is now taken by...

I am sore and exhausted from that long trek out to you guys. Now I understand what happened to Dave, he was so tired from the walk that his legs gave out and he fell. Is that even still the Hudson river where you guys are?

After seeing that ad for SPBM, what with 400 slips, a restaurant on presmises and "club" membership, I'm thinking of going there...

Took a nice ride yesterday, wind and all. Had a great time but lots of salt on the boat when we got back.

Gonna try again today. I wonder if I can remember how to operate a boat without nasty, gusting winds?????

Haverstraw's pool is open. You can all go out and enjoy this Memorial Day!!

I presume its either too windy or the tide is too low, as the Haversraw dock Marys are afraid to come out.

Waiting for Gayle. Should be within the next 6 hours. We were trying to leave at 7:30 as the river should be less crowded. All of our neighboring marinas will have to be back by then or they will have to spen the night on the hook.

First a-hole of the season, came in & waked us...
