Mounting a swing back seat..

From the brief description it looks like you can determine your own mounting hole locations in the bottom flange.
Thru bolting vs screws would be based on what the mounting deck composition would be...Is there enough "meat" in the floor to take a screw??

Yeah, there is enough meet in the deck to handle a screw. I suppose I could drill the holes and use screws, just seems a bit odd, not really sure why...

I just installed a couple of seats, very similar to yours. I drilled bigger than needed holes, filled with epoxy, let cure. Then predrilled correct size hole into epoxy and used a washer inside of seat base with ( I think) #10 screw. I put a little adhesive sealant in the predrilled hole before I screwed in the #10, just for good measure. That seems to do the trick. I installed these seats on our old houseboat upper deck. A couple of houseboat forum guys told me how to do it to prevent future deck rot.
