First time on this site, first post, and just bought our first boat. 1986 Regal Sebring 195 XL Cuddy. V6 Mercruiser. Very clean and does not show her age. Had it checked very well by mechanic and worked with a great previous owner. Very happy and anxious to learn more.

Does anyone know where I can find more info on this boat. No owners manual and only spotty info online. Any help would be great.

Thanks for any help and for this forum!

Welcome! Do a diligent Google search--you'll be amazed what you find.

Thank you. Found this site while looking for info about this boat before we bought. Google searches show a lot of boats for sale and some info on specific questions, but I was hoping to be able to get owners manual type info. Any sites that sell old owners manuals. From the searches I have done it seems many people are looking for them but not many finding them.

First off, welcome to the forum.

As one who is trying to create an accurate owners manual for my boat let me start off saying that they are nothing like a cars owners manual. Mine does not even have the correct components listed. I found the best route so far was to look for the venders that made the parts of the boat and get the manuals from them. Especially given the age of yours some of the components might not be original.

John Good Point. Most things look original but no need to add more headaches just to find out they are replacement parts.

As far as the engine, etc., I saw someone suggest this book:

Mercruiser Stern Drive
isbn 0-89330-005-5

Opinions?

When I had my bow rider I had a clymer manual fr the motor drive combo. With this boat I have bought a service and parts manual for Cat and separate service manual from trans manufacturer as well.
