With many of us anxious for the season to get rolling, I find that having a bite near the water helps me on these cool weekends. With quite a few waterfront restaurants like Fatfish, Nicky's and Bayview closed for the season, I ask for recommendations. I will throw out there: Cull House (Sayville), Lake House (Bay Shore), Oar House (Patchogue), and further east, Oaklands and Cowfish (Hampton Bays).

BTW, Molly Malone's in Bay Shore has been bought. I think a seafood place is going there.

Tres palms in Babylon.
Never there.
Kids got me a gift certificate but have not used.
On water.
Shallow and tight I hear.

It is shallow especially just at the mouth of the canal. Its just across the cove from us, so we go there often in the summer. Food is good. Wish they had more seafood though.

The View in Oakdale has great views. Snapper Inn right down the raod is good too. Both with docking.

The food is good, but in addition to the entrance being shallow their slips are more suited to smaller boats that pull bow in.
