Hey NJ Folks...

I am looking to do a trip down from the south shore of LI to Cape May (or thereabouts) and I would like some assistance, based on local knowledge, to make my plans.

We are one boat (hopefully this negates the need for fixed reservations) with a 14' beam.

Any place we stay has to be pet accommodating (if not pet friendly) for the 4-legged members of my crew.

Locations near towns with good restaurants would be nice as would access to biking trails.

Would not mind a night or two at a high-end yacht club.

Any suggestions as to where to visit would be appreciated.

One boat, your not including your friends?
We cruise too slow for you?
We are looking at American Wharf CT, Block, and greenport or shinnecock. Thinking same week as the MarineMax trip.
But we are open!
 
lol...different week.

We want to travel from 7/16 and come back early on the 24th to catch Aquapoolza (sp?). This way both kids are gone for the same week.

You are more than welcome to join us.

We liked Wildwood and used to go to Atlantic City a few times a year. Plenty of places to eat at both. For Wildwood, you go in Cape May and come back north. Nice boardwalk that is a little bit of a walk but doable.

Yes. Schooner Island in Wildwood and Farley State marina in AC at what is now the Golden Nugget.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good place to stay in Cape May?
 
Im doing the same trip starting 7/30, I`m interested in the same info, maybe post a trip report when you`re back?
 
Decided staying in Cape May wasn't worth pulling up the lines for.

Here's the weather-permitting itinerary in case any wants to tag-along:

Leaving early on 7/16.
Heading to LBI (Beach Haven YC) for two nights.
Wildwood (Schooner Marina) for 3 nights (we will cab it to Cape May for one of the days).
AC for 1 night then the new marina in Brooklyn for 2 nights.
Heading to Aquapoolza rb2@gr5t Zachs from Brooklyn.

I'll post a report upon return.
