I noticed my canvas boat cover has a couple of small tears [about 4"] which I will need to patch. All I could find was a nylon peel and stick patch from a fabric center and I also purchased a roll of clear patching tape from Boaters World. Any thoughts of the best way to do this and which product works best would be appreciated. I am also considering cleaning the area to be patched with alcohol unless someone suggests otherwise.
