I have never used a polymer could someone give the pros and cons and recommend a brand, thanks
 
I used Pro Polish (polymer based)for the first time this year. It goes on like a liquid wax, but much thinner. Supposedly, it fills the microscopic "holes" in the gel coat better than wax, it does not yellow & attract dirt like wax does. Goes on easy and comes off easy. True test will be later in the season - won't know until then how well it holds up to the elements.

There are other brands out there - other will chime in.
 
I used Zaino on the last boat but I am trying pro polish this year.

We've been very happy so far with Rejex. Still beads up well after a almost a year, since application, of full time cruising up and down the east coast (Massachusetts through Key West). Less "ICW Mustache" than last year too, and what there was, as well as other types of smudges, cleaned right up. I wonder how much difference there really is amongst the various popular brands, but not having direct experience with Pro Polish or Zaino, can't compare.

I did half my topside with propolish the other half with zaino all in one.
I am in florida and they have both held up well,
the zaino does bead up water better.
 
I finished up half of my boat today using Buff Magic and Pro Polish. I was careful not to over apply the products, was very impressed with the shine and ease of product application and removal (both products). Right or wrong, I used a random obital buffer to apply and fixed (?) buffer to remove. I have used Zaino before but usually had a tough time getting it off. I am sold on both of these products, can't go wrong.
On a side note, got the products from BoatFix, ordered last weekend, arrived in 3 days to the midwest. First order from Les, more to come.
 
Do you guys put on and take off pro polish by hand, or use a buffer?
 
I have been using Woody Wax, not sure if it's a polymer though. I use it everything including non-skid. Anyone else use WW?
