Regal Owners Forum

Les was kind enough to open the forum when the Regal Boat Owners Club site disappeared one day. A lot of the Regal owners either are no longer acitve on this board or no longer Regal owners.

I eMailed John, but no reply! His health has not been good, but this is so sudden. Any explanation would be appreciated.

I too am worried about his health and the site being down. It did seem that lately there were a few who were giving him a hard time about decisions he made about his own site.. Personally I don't blame him if he just said, enough! As with BoaterEd, I found the folks on the site to be more than helpful when I bought my first boat, a Regal, 10 years ago. Would miss the many people who I have had the opportunity to "chat" with over the years.

Glad I checked here, was wondering what had happened. Would be a shame if down for good, has still been a very active site and enjoys direct links from the Regal home page.

Has anyone heard from John since the site went down?

Not a word. His last post here was 11/3/15. Unusual, as he was a frequent poster.

Canada heard from Rommer.
"Major hardware failure. Not sure If I can recover the site. may have to start from scratch but not sure yet.

Glad that it's not a health issue.

Sounds like good news/bad news! Looking forward to the resurrection.

Hi all,

I'm still alive but have been fighting health issues for quite some time now.

I'll have the site back as soon as possible and appreciate the kind words.

John

Health first, John! Then the site. Hopefully both come soon. :)

Glad to hear from you John. As Steve said, health and family first.

Hi John.

So glad you're OK. And I'm happy you're working on getting the site back up.

I sure hope you can recover the old site as it was loaded with a ton of great posts and information.

Regards, Tim

Attended the Palm Beach Boat show yesterday. Was aboard the 42SC with one of the Regal Reps. Can't remember his name. He frequents the site and has posted on occasion. He made mention of the site being down and hopes Rommer can resurrect it.

Seagate claims they recovered the drive but I won't know till I get it back. UPS says this coming Thursday the drive will arrive.

Hooray!! Looking forward to full (or even partial) restoration when you can get to it.

Well, the data recovery was not 100% but I was able to rebuild all the missing datafiles and indexes as needed.

Thanks again for all the well wishes!
