My friend is Looking to replace the carpet, with Vinyl type (maybe flexiteak) flooring on his 2000 Rinker 31'. I see a few discussions out there. However, would prefer more recent advice/suggestions as to who to use to do this on Long Island. He just doesn't have the time to do it himself. I will say there is one soft spot towards the back of the cabin floor (seems like loose piece of flooring) so he would need someone who could fix that also while replacing carpeting with vinyl. Is it a big job to rip out that carpeting (seems pretty secure). Thanks in advance for any help.

You talking about doing this in the cabin or outside area?
If in the cabin, then you don't need to use Flexi or Plasti teek, you can use those wood look materials they sell at home depot or loews. Way, WAY, less expensive. As far as someone to install, regular carpenter can do that.
