I am sure many on this forum have dealt with fiberglass that has developed that chalky appearance (lost its new "wet look"). My current boat is a 2011 which still has a relatively high sheen but I am starting to see the change. I received an email from Aurora products regarding their EZ Buff & EZ Buff Extender (https://www.auroramarine.com/ask-the-skipper/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11290). I was wondering if there were any recommendations or experience with these products or better products. I understand that a buffer is probably a big part of this (which I own) but want to make sure I am using the best product (boat currently waxed with Collinite)

I am having trouble with my finish as well. I am going to try to use buff magic and pro polish. I am also going to stop using Salt Away.

I've not used these two products, but I've always had good luck with other Aurora products. The key is following directions. I've no affiliation w/ Aurora.

I have tried quite a few products, Buff Magic + Prop Polish has looked the best, lasted the longest and easiest to keep up....good stuff

Agree with Prop Guy, Buff Magic and Pro Polish are goof proof and the best I've found.

I am a fan (and user) of Aurora products. If you're just now starting to see a change, I'm not sure you need to buff anything. My boat got to be somewhat chalky and I brought it back with Boat Scrub. That time I used Boat Shine to protect it and it worked great. I then got lazy and switched to Kwik Shine each spring and have had good results with less effort. Aurora says Kwik Shine is for "in between cleanups and great for cleaning up blue-water salt", and it is (it dissolves salt easily), but I found that once I got rid of the oxidation all I needed was Kwik shine to keep the boat looking decent. Try a bottle of Kwik Shine on an area of your boat and see what the results are. Note: sometimes you can buy Aurora products on eBay cheaper than ordering direct.
