We have been cruising in Mexico and Central America for five years and are now (slowly) working our way up the East Coast. We hope to be in the Chesapeake Bay next spring.
We have heard that if you are in the Bay for more than a year, which is our plan, that Maryland will tax your boat at 6% of the value of the boat. Does anyone know about this tax or any others like it.
