You don’t say what kind of boat or motor you have but it’s fairly easy to find and replace. It’s gonna be in your engine compartment close to the transom. Small electric motor with the reservoir underneath. Usually with 2 hoses and 3 wire coming off of it. Not a hard fix at all
Most likely a Bennett and they haven’t really changed in years. They call it Hydraulic Power Unit. https://bennetttrimtabs.com/products/
In a boat like yours it can be plumbed further from transom. It’s probably under one of your aft hatches mounted to a bulkhead just out of reach! I don’t know how handy you are but you can disconnect the unit from wiring harness, usually all plugs, and run jumper wires and wire it directly from battery to test it.There are articles on web that I followed in past to do it. I’ll search around later. Make sure it’s the motor and not switch or relay module. I once had a bad relay module. Motor only worked in one direction. If you do remove unit have a container underneath to catch fluid and have plugs or something ready to plug up hose ends right away. Otherwise you’ll have a mess in the bilge.
