Just wanted to let the Uninspected Passenger Vessel Operators in the NYC/Hudson River area know that the US Coast Guard Auxiliary has several vessel examiners qualified to offer voluntary, free vessel exams for UPV's. As you Licensed Mariners may recall, the safety equipment, paperwork and related requirements for "6-psck" vessels is different than those for recreational boats. There are several USCG Auxiliarists in the NY area who can offer this specialized inspection and issue an approval decal.
