I'm going to the boat show in a few weeks and one of the things we are going to be looking for is a vendor for vinyl boat graphics so we can order a name, hailing port, and registration numbers for the new (to us) boat. We looked at the Boat US website and a couple of other online vendors, but I think I'd rather have my wife actually sit in front of a computer with a vendor to look at fonts, and actually see color samples of vinyl in person rather than relying on what's online.
I want to do this only once, and I know that if my wife doesn't like what she sees when it comes in the mail I'll be starting over again.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a local vendor who may, or may not, be at the show at the Javits center?

I've used island boat lettering on Wantagh quiet a few times they've been great

I ordered mine at the show a few years ago they did a good job of both designing and making the name. Unfortunately we got a bad run of material it only lasted two seasons. I went back to them at the next show and they replaced it at no charge so I have not complaints at all. I believe it was Island boat lettering as well.

Thanks folks! I'll look for them at the boat show.

Thanks! I'll look for her at the boat show too. We're not looking for any fancy graphics. We just need the name, hailing port, and registration numbers and would prefer installation if possible too though not a deal breaker. I can install myself if I had to. The big concern is my wife picking out the colors for the letters and shadow and font she wants. I'd rather she handle it directly in person with a vendor so she's happy. These matters are above my pay grade. If it were solely up to me I would just order it from Boat US and be done with it.

I had someone pick out the colors and I picked the style, the person who made it and installed and took the bimini top blue instead of the navy blue which was the boat color, it looked awful and cost twice as much, then I got the BoatUs, it looks awesome, but I didn't install it so great and it got wrinkled, they sent me a new set. I will definately use BoatUs again..

What Walter said, Marie & Billy do great work. They did my brothers boat and my boat too.

I had mine done at Panorama Signs located at 1315 Montauk Hwy, Copiague, NY 11726
(631) 226-8755 they did a great job and it still looks good after 14 years.

I'm sorry to say Marie and I are no longer together. She sold off the sign making equipment and has moved on from the sign business as far as I know. There are a lot of good sign shops in the area. It's not a difficult job to do.
