I go out boating for the weekend and this forum goes dead?? Whassup with that???

Spent Saturday at Bowline with Starry Night, Relentless and Wake-n-Waves (rommer). The water was like glass, and we were the only ones in the pond.

Came in early today to beat the rain.

Sorry Mike, but was doing the same thing you were.

Spent Friday and Saturday nights aboard. Took our boat out for it's first sea trial of the year on Saturday. Once you got north of the bay, the river was like a piece of glass. Cruised up to Newburg and back, and once we were on plane, I never had to touch the controls again.

After coming back down the river, ended up in Croton for a nice meal rolling on the hook, before returning to the marina and the gas pumps. YIKES!! Haverstraw is at $3.79 / gal. - .10 cents a gal. for marina membership = $480.00. Hard to explain to a non-boater.

Sunday went to a friends 50th Birthday at a nice place in Weehawken and now settling in trying to decide between Bosox vs Yankees or Sopranos

Can't wait to next weekend. Great job on handling the weather.

Well...let's see...maybe some of us were out boating or just spending some time on our boats too.

We took Freedom out for a shake down blast also and had her up to 18k. Since Geo was up this way getting some work done we all sat down and chatted for a while. I have to admit Geo you have quite a beauty there!

We spent time shopping and installing new stuff on the boat. A couple of new flat screens and some new speakers. Thinking about trying some Apple TV.

Mike

Are you gonna make sure this rain stuff is gone for next weekend?

Friday night BBQ with some good friends. Saturday was our commissioning day at the CYC...from 1pm to 1am. It was one of the best parties I have ever been to at CYC. Slept on the boat then went to Croton Summerfest (big street fair) and had yet another good time! With three parties in three days, who has time for the internet?

Well, Like others we spent the weekend on the boat. Actually managed to get quite a few chores done Saturday. Oh, thanks for the picture Mike. I will have to get it posted on the site....

I would say the lack of postings here was a good sign of boaters being where they should be. Ran up to Kingston real early Saturday, had the river to myself. Actually I was sharing the surface with a ton of debris, this time from high tides pulling it off the shoreline.

They have a good canvas guy at RYB and he put the snaps on my new cockpit cover right at the dock, then installed vent caps where the poles go. Visited with Dan & Deb (Freedom is looking good :)) before heading back for the compulsory gas stop just outside the slip. Found out last week my capacity is 343 gallons, not 308 as the catalog shows - do I want to be able to carry more gas as the price goes up? Took on 199 gallons, have to wax some more boats and save for the next stop - not complaining for it is a blessing to have tanks to fill.

Hey Pete, do you really look at other shows when John Miller & Joe Morgan call a Yankee/Red Sox game? Wrong team won but the lead is still double digits. Have a great week y'all.....G

Don't worry, I have it all under control!

Butch, you're welcome...

Good to see everyone out enjoying the great weather I got for us.

Missed the boat this weekend.
I had to spread 20 yards of topsoil seed and hay. (my yard is all dirt as we had a addition put on our house) and finsih some trim work on the addition.
Trying to get everything buttoned up before Braydon get here, and so I can enjoy the boat a little without alway thinking of the ton of stuff I have to do at home.

Besides Leigh, I hear the Tiki bar still has no liquor license!!!

Where were we? Boating, getting ready for boating or finishing the honey do list so we can go boating. The pool is open & the back yard is ready. Now lets go boating...finally.

The Tiki Bar is supposedly to get their Liquor license next week. No biggie - the drinks are cheaper and better on the docks.

George;

I do enjoy Miller & Morgan. Especially Jon Miller, as he goes out of his way to bash the hated Yankees.

The solution to my problem was to watch the first hour of the game, Tivo the remainder of the game as I watched the Sopranos, and then stay up until 1:20 AM watching a heartbreaker.

5:15 came awful early theis morning.

So True..The Tiki Bar has lost it's luster.. Much rather hang on the docks.. or better yet.. on the hook. Unfortunately I am surrounded by Dock Mary's

Hey, actually its MET LAND (SHOULD BE DODGER LAND)where they play real baseball - everybody hits, everybody plays the field. We pitch high an tight, we pitch low an away....know the strike zone before you bitch & moan. Great life stories arise from the diamond...the rain has stopped, gotta go check the boat...be well....G

Leigh,
Hurry up and finish your projects. We would enjoy your company out on the river. Our problem is not the bar license, ours is, we need the liquor store. We run out of booze to quickly. Or at least vodka and rum that is. Tracy (Relentless) makes killer bug juice, rum gumbies, Raspberry (French) Martini’s etc...
