Hoping to start Saturday afternoon!! Mike, please wave your weather wand so I can get in...The crane lifts me off the non-protected seawall so it has to be relatively calm.
Yeah John - I think there will be a small turn out for that as well. If its raining we will not be there. I am sick of sitting on the boat in the cold rain. So glad I rushed to get it in the water. Mother nature needs to get her head examined.
Went out late Wednesday morning for a quick ride, the water was calm and the weather was great. Still some big stuff floating around out there though. Went out again with a friend in the afternoon and the bay was real snotty...2-3' chop and with a stiff wind from the southeast. Near my slip I pulled out a 3' long piece of old telephone pole with two rusty climbing stakes just waiting to gouge nice chunks of gelcoat from your hull. There are some huge pieces of wood floating around in our marina that cannot be pulled out by hand even by two people.
Have to go out of town this weekend, but hoping to work a few days from the boat next week -- get things prepped for Memorial Day. How much more have the fuel prices gone up?

There are over 21 thousand posts on this thread...There is only one cruiser thread that has more... Long Island Cruisers, by about 4 thousand. Do you really consider that quiet? Turn your hearing aid up and come to a hUShh show!
I know you've been busy practicing for your next gig Randy so you probably haven't noticed the slow down in posting here. Just trying to stir things back up a bit.
We are playng at Rhodes Tavern in Sloatsburg on Saturday May 17th. But if that doesn't work for you, we have two dates booked at the Tiki Bar in the Haverstraw Marina this summer...I can't wait! Hope to see you and Gina there...
