Can i paint over my bow windows w/topside paint ? Do i have to do any prep work on the glass? It is a flybridge model and I felt it be easier than removing the glass and doing the fiberglass work.

What are you trying to accomplish? On the surface, so to speak, this sounds like a really bad idea.

Agree you've left out a lot of details. What fiberglass work are you doing?

Yes, that's important.

Painted windows won't be any stronger than non painted windows. Are you trying to darken the inside? Consider having the windows tinted instead.

I painted some windows once and they held up fine, but that was indoors, not on a boat.

I don't recommend painting windows but if you do first wipe them down with Vinegar this gets rid of any residue and allow the paint to adhere better. You would also need to paint the inside of the windows not the outside the paint would strip away with weather otherwise.
I would recommend 5% Limo tint over painting windows.
