Hi everyone - We are just about finished purchasing this boat from a private owner. The owner isn't very familiar with all the inner workings of the boat - more of a liveaboard for her. Just finished the survey, and we couldn't find the forward bilge pump. Does anyone have any clues they can offer as to where it is located in the boat? We found mid and aft pumps just fine.

Thanks!

There should be a hatch in the galley, near the icemaker...should be in there...if not, try pulling the fwd cabin carpet up and you may find a hatch there to access it.

I'm really surprised the surveyor didn't find it. That's what we pay them for.

Thanks Kenny - I'm fairly certain this specific boat didn't have the ice maker installed, or maybe it was removed. Where would the icemaker have been - near the wet bar?

Either way, I'll look through all the galley hatches again on Monday when I'm there for the engine inspection. Sounds like it should be aft of the forward berth, is that correct? We were looking in the forward berth under the bed for the hatch - maybe we were looking to far forward.

Yes...should be aft of the fwd berth. Most had icemakers from the factory, but it would be in the cabin accross from the galley.

Kenny - Would you by chance know where the mid bilge pump should be?

I definitely found the aft pump.

Maybe what we found was the forward pump, and not the mid. What we thought was the mid was in a hatch in the middle of the boat (makes sense I guess), just aft of the water tank. It seems like the forward bilge pump should have been in the same hatch as the holding tank, as that is the hatch closest to the forward berth.

Thanks for the help!

There should be 3 in the boat...the "mid" should be under a hatch near the cabin entry steps...again, you may have to pull carpet up to get at it.

Thanks again Kenny - I'll look for it tomorrow. I'm guessing the forward is what we actually found, and we just missed the mid.

Should be easy to get to - no carpet in the boat at this time.

Appreciate all the help!
