350 Mags vs 6.2 MPI on 320 Dancer

Hello everyone I am new to this forum and appreciate all of the great knowledge that is shared here. I am looking to upsize to a pre-owned 320 Sundancer; and have a few questions as I am a newbie to Sea Ray so please forgive my ignorance.

I am evaluating a 2002: 350 Mags. (FWC) vs. 6.2 MPI (RWC)

My questions are:
Fuel compulsion rate between the two engines
How significant is (FWC) vs. (RWC)

Re FWC vs RWC, very significant. Are both both currently used only in fresh water? Do you plan on using them in fresh or salt water?
 
Performance should be about the same with the edge to 6.2. Better acceleration and top end. The 350 mag is rated at 300 HP and is 5.7 litre and the 6.2 litre is rated at 320 and is 383 cube vs a 350. Longer stroke 350 thus 6.2. The advanatage the 350 offering is the 350 mag had FWC.

NOTE the drive systems Sea Ray uses are common to boat industry.
 
I have 350 Mags in my 02 310DA, so it is pretty similar to that set-up. They are plenty for the boat, and economical (compared to others). I wouldn't even consider RWC unless you plan on flushing your motors after every use.
 
Raw water cooling is fine for fresh water. The 6.2L has a few more ponies in the mid range, else no real difference. The 350 mag is a proven engine and parts are readily available.
 
Go with the 6.2's. The boat will be underpowered with the 5.7's. You can convert it to FWC regardless of the number of hours if it has been run in fresh water, or if it has lived in salt water and has less than a couple of hundred hours. Take the cost of the kits plus installation off the price. BoatFix has the kits. Make sure the boat has 4 blade props. They will help lift the stern. Make sure the engine winds up to 5200 RPMs at WOT. The trim tabs may be undersized. Anticipate ~22GPH (total) at cruise.
 
Does anyone have 4 bladed props on a 320 DA? what is the affect? I have 5.7L 350 mags.

Mrs. Robinson does. He is currently running 3 blades while waiting for the 4 blades to be rebuilt. He notices all the difference in the world in terms of different handling.
