Due to some luck and the tireless work of the dock masters who worked 48 hours straight to keep everything together, we came out pretty well.

Thanks for sharing . . . the marina looks better than most. Any idea where the sailboat ended up?
 
I used to live at 69th and Columbus. Liked the basin a lot. Glad to see you all faired well. I appreciate the memories (calmer than your pictures)...

No idea where the sailboat ended up. The marina crew saved a bunch of boats but it got too dangerous for them to get this one. They called the harbor police and the USCG.
There was a very large USCG vessel stationed about a mile south to close off the harbor, they might have gotten it. Otherwise ???

USCG once again proves they have big brass ones. Stationed keeping in the face of an incoming hurricane with little maneuvering room. I do question on why anyone had to be stationed there to close off the harbor, what would they do if a ship came in, tell them to turn around?
