Amazing Rogue Wave experience

Jim, I don't know if you can try this but if you had a way of using the smaller corner reflector antenna on your ROGUE pointed towards your home that might really improve the path loss, it would also reduce interference. It does require pointing so it would only help at anchor.

Here is pic of equipment that Bill sent me...replaced the Linksys home router.

That doesn't look too obtrusive

But hey it works!

Jim do you have another router/ AP like the Linksys in your boat hooked up to the ROGUE?
Bill

Next time out try running the laptop directly off of the ROGUE through the LAN port with the routers wireless turned off.
If you had a small 802.11a&n
access point in the boat I think you would have better results. I can probably lend you one to try Jim.
What channel is the router on? How close is it to the ROGUE?

Ok, with this kind of equipment I am expecting to get some reception up here on the river as well!!! :-) great work Bill!

That is what a real commercial grade access point/ antenna looks like. It's the Ubiquiti Rocket M2 with the AirMax 15dbi
2.4GHz MIMO dual polarity 120 degree sector antenna.

Bill you are the man! 4 miles that's great!

Now all you need is a bigger house so that antenna won't look so huge:)
