Anchorage Slips For Sale????

Just out of curiousity; Can anyone advise about the current sale prices, and carrying charges for slips at The Anchorage?
Where is the best place to view listings?
I know someone that might be interested in buying a slip if the price was right.
 
There are quite a few RO's that own at the anchorage that should be able to help out.......but Walter is like the Donald Trump of the AYC......
 
Yep.........I heard Walter will be catering parties on his boat in 2008 (just to give Donald a little competition next summer!)

I think are commodore is the "Donald Trump" rumor has it he owns more than 20 slips.

It depends on the beam of the slip and it's location in the Marina. D dock is considered the best location because of the view of the Great South Bay, S dock is also considered one of the best for different reasons (large slips on a wide canal, easy access). Some may consider parts of B dock and S dock to be primo slips because of the proximity to the pool (great if you have young kids)

There are no bad locations in the Anchorage, although I am not crazy about the docks (forgot the letter) that boarder the school fence, seems to easy for someone to scale the fence and steal stuff off your boat.

I see by your profile you have a 30' Searay, first off you will need to sell your boat because we do not allow Searays into the marina.:), just kidding.

For a boat your size (assuming that a 13'2" beam would work, remember it's all about beam, not length) you could get a slip anywhere from 35 to 45k. I bought another slip on B dock last year through Craigslist (Thank You Don) for 35k, it was considered to be a cheap price, fair value and a good deal would of been 40k.

The other slip I own on D, 15'11" beam (where I keep my boat) I hear would sell for close to 80k, since there has not been a slip for sale on D dock for many many years, I am not sure how accurate that number is. I know someone that bought a slip on A dock a few seasons ago and he paid 45k for the slip, 13'11' beam.

As far as the go forward costs, my slip on A dock costs me around $1,500 a year (close guess). This includes maintenance and taxes. My slip last year was rented for $3,900.00. I heard that they raised the rentals for next season but do not know how much.

Also keep in mind that the slips appreciate every year. So not only are your go forward costs cheaper but you have an investment that is earning you money.

Best Place to view listings is either the office at the Anchorage, or Craigslist. There are never that many slips for sale at any one time and the ones that are sell quickly.

I've also seen them advertised in Newsday every once in awhile so check there too. The ads are after the boats for sale, etc. I think it's under "marine merchandise" (I'm too lazy to get up and look right now!)

I am looking for you and me, I give you you first dibs. Actually I am looking for a smaller slip, I have a silly idea of buying a 24' boat to play with, will still keep mine, just another toy that won't get used as much as it should. :)

walter I bought a 2005 Scout 175 Sportfish this year and I love it. The boat rides great, is pretty fast (40 mph) and is solid as a rock. I highly recommend Scout.

Walter, we had the opportunity to board that Bayliner Discovery a few weeks ago. Real nice boat with lots of room. The guy that has it loves it. A lot of boat for the money.
 
Walter C30 is for sale its 12' beam. they guys wants 50 grand its been for sale for over a year way overpriced.

Ill split it with u if we can make the slip alittle smaller so i can fit my boat in 31?

Walter, I also had a Scout years ago, small 15' center console. Was a lot of fun and enjoyed it for a few years before buying a 20' Trophy. Scout seems to have come a long way from when I had mine and a lot more expensive now too. I loved the boat and I love the look of their new ones.

If u rent the slip we split it .... if u use it ...u use it ... cant go wrong.... When either wants out the other buys him out.... There only going to go up..... WE can buy as many as u want .....

Geez, those are a bargain.

Slips in Half Moon bay by me are going for:
$160k = 40x16.5 (50' LOA)
$110k = 35x14 (39' LOA)
$105k = 35' slip (I assume same size as the $110k slip)
$90k = 30x14 (33' LOA)
$75k = 30' slip (I assume same size as the $90k slip)
 
See walt time is a wasting....Right now don is conspiring with others to jam us up... act quickly and with out regard!!!
 
You guys can have the slips at the AYC.......... I want to buy another waterfront house...and rent it.
