Any Resturants on FI open yet

Rob, been there many times, JohnC is right on the money about it being tight at the entrance, add wind, strong current, waves crashing, it can be real nerve racking for most guys. With your diesels and your bow thruster you should be ok. Also, if you go while the marina has many boats in it, do yourself a favor and wait off to the side on the outside dock, wave down a dock hand and find out if there is a slip that will accomadate your beam. No since pulling in if there is no slip available for your size. Once you get it in (passed the entrance) it will be tight but should be smooth sailing at that point.

I agree "time it right" certain times (once a month) it can be real tough, and sloppy I may add.

Dave, TJ's is no more and KIsmet is only open on the weekends Fri-Sun until I think mid may - 583-5592. Try Mollys Malones, good place in bayshore with docking. Or Head to OB, pretty sure CJ's is open.
 
FREEPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pleanty of fine dining and bars....
 
I prefer to take out of town guests to Fire Island or somewhere where you can get to the Ocean.
They like to see the Ocean!

I will give a call later over there to see whats open. Either CJ's, Matthews, or Flynns.
I guess I can always dock at OB marina and walk thru town, something must be open!

Alternative idea: Bucket of KFC and case of beer and just dock somewhere.
Other than Cedar, any place on Fire Island I can dock mid-week for free.
Can you use TJ's dock if they are closed? Atlantique?
 
Dave....I'll be gone for the weekend......you can dock behind my house if you want. ....:) :) :)

Just........ NO chicken bones in the hot tub please.
