Have some small scratches that I want to try and take care of and was wondering what is the best do it yourself repair kit to buy.

Les may not like this, but if you want OEM matching try www dot spectrumcolor dot com.

If you want to mix your own gel, then buy any kit from boatfix!

Thanks Dave. That was the company I was looking at. They have OEM colors in small kits. There are 2 scratches that are driving me nuts.

I used it on my cruisers.
Color match was good but the sanding process was tough.
In the end, it was hard to see the scratch but if you knew where it was, you can see it.
I was happy with results. I used the patch paste they sell.
Not sure I will try it with the current boat since I have a colored hull.

I have a black hull. It has to look better than the scratch and if I am not happy I will have a pro re-do it.

Used Spectrum color on on a one inch gelcoat chip in my hull that was down to the matt. It could not have been easier. The color match was almost perfect and the fix is invisable unless you know exactly where to look. Estimates to fix by a pro were in the $250 range.

When I went to there web site I think it said the temp at to be 75 so might have to wait till next year if that is true. Will most likely try in the spring.

You will never get 75 sitting on the hard.
I did mine before I launched on a nice day in the sun.
It was fine.
