Boat Bottom

I know that the subject of bottom coverage has been covered well. i believe that I have a little different question. I am in a slip on Lake Winnebago in WI. I have asked numerous professional regarding as to whether to polish and wax or barrier coat & paint. about 50/50

any preferences?

Hi Don, Are you at the Menasha Marina? I just got a slip there this year. I purchased a used 31 foot chaparral and decided on barrier coating and then bottom paint. If you don't, you may end up with blistering if you don't regularly pull the boat and pressure wash it. I'm doing the boat myself and it's taking alot of time, but it's not a difficult task. Tom

your size boat, i dont see painting hurting any resale on it, and going with a barrier coat IMO will add to the resale. id paint it
