Hi Dan,
I am posting this for RobSki, he is at Round Out and looking for you or any other BE members in that area. Rob wants me to say "come by and see us"

Rob is not there with his boat (a sad story that he should only tell) but went up with some friends (he is on a boat named Virtual Reality).

If any of you guys are around please visit them, I think he may need a shoulder to cry on :)

Walter

I think Dan leaves the area everytime he hears LICC guys are going to Rondout :D Last year we crossed paths on the river but missed him. He's been around NYC this week, tell Rob the big set of stairs on the outside dock are Dan's. In case he's heading back up, the boat name is 'Freedom' and it's a 43' Hatteras. I think some other HRCC members are at marinas further up the creek.

Walter indeed John is correct. We are down south this week, I mean all you have to do is look at your vacation thread and who you stayed with [:-bigeyes2].
That's bad news about Robski.

By the way. The steps. That's the stairway to heaven you know.

Guys , I have to say the transients at this marina aew awesome. We had a great time ! Dan if ur steps are on the outside dock western most part... we were right behind them on the inside. The tiki snack bar guy WARREN... great guy.....

Really a great place... But holy cow the amount debris in the water,,,, The lead boat hit stuff 3 different times.....

Rob

Rob one of these days we'll be there when you folks are in town. This trip was planned in advance for us to be out for the week of the 4th but it grew another week when we got into Molly P..
When we moved there from F dock life changed quite a bit. The only problem with it is passing up cheeseburgers on a regular basis.
Debris on the river is a fact of life. Especially after a heavy rain or spring thaw. Remind me to get into the boating industry as a second career.

Dan,
We met alot people... VERY nice.... ( even the mechanic LOU )

I think ur boat steps were my thrown for a few days .. u should hose that down good with bleach!!!

Rob

Rob thanks for marking your territory. But Lou? I thought it was Bill but things can change.

Glad you had a good time, Rob! We stopped at RYB last Thursday for gas and a pumpout, and loved the fact that there was absolutely no one using any of the facilities - we were the only ones at the Tiki Bar. Reminded me of Ft. Lauderdale and the ICW during the off season!!!

Pete,
Wish i knew... I was up and down the dock with the kids 1000x's im sure i saw u fueling....

The boat I was on had two huge WHITE labs..... So maybe u saw us....

Dan.. I thought it was Lou... he was a Bearded guy....

We will be back.... this time with my boat....

Rob

Rob glad it wasn't a bearded lady. The last mechanic I knew that has a beard was Don, but I have not seen him around in a while. Bill Barrett has been pretty popular with the folks around here and I know he has been involved in alot of big projects like diesel conversions and various other jobs.
Yes, the kids generally have a good time at RYB since there is a pool and plenty of space to run around in.

Dan,
Just called my buddy ur right its Bill.... Nice guy ... Im must be getting old !!!

Rob

Rob it beats the alternative! Wait, maybe we have a mess of virgins waiting on boats for us?

We had a real nice time at Rondout last year too. Great place, very friendly people. Not going to make it that far north this year but will be back there in the not too distant future.

John

Dan, I can assure you there are NO VIRGINS on board MY boat [:-mischievous] ...
