What should it cost to have a 1987 SeaRay 300 WE (30 ft express cruiser) washed and waxed?

Matt: Here in Annapolis the going rate is about $15/ft. Usually they just quote a price for the boat,,our 43 is 1K for total wax--waterline up,which will take me all season, so I always hate to spend the $, but the Admiral dosen't like going to the boat and then working all the time.

Just had a '93 30' Weekender done. From waterline up and also cockpit cost me $580

I am getting estimates of 500-600 for a 30 foot cruiser here in Ga. I hate to spend the money but I don't have the time or arm stamina. What I don't know is if it is customary to apply just 1 coat of wax or 2. Me thinks the quote is for just one.

2nd coat of wax will remove most if not all of the first coat. Not so with polymers like Pro Polish.

Thanks for the Info. The detailers will use BM and PP :) Even so I am getting the impression that one coat of wax will do it. I didn't even ask the question if they applied one coat or two.

Jason, make sure they understand what you are using. Last yr. my detailer was OK with the products, but his crew was surprised they were going over boat twice. Worked well, but switched back this yr. Took crew of 3 10hrs.

Just had my 28' Carver Voyager detailed, waxed and buffed topside (rub rail up) for $270 here in Palm Coast.
