Bought our first boat, any advice???

Kenny's just kidding about that. Friends, the people who arrive and leave on time, bring food and/or drink, and who's company you enjoy, will be as scarce as ever.

Relatives on the other hand, will come out of the freakin woodwork. :D
 
This year will be different SLW...We'll come out of KaChina more often. With drink in hand
 
Thanks again everyone for the good advice and kind compliments. I was half afraid that everyone would see our little 21 footer and tell us that we shouldn't be a part of this forum. Carver makes a very nice vessel and we are happy to start with a top of the line boat, even if it does need some work. Hopefully working on the boat will just make us appreciate it that much more.
 
Every Carver is welcome here, from their first 15 footer to their latest 72 Marquis. We do have a love of our boats...stronger than most, it seems
 
Advice on getting her into tip top shape...
1) Start your own library of Marine part order manuals with "sticky notes" marking all the pages of the neat stuff you want to get (Green = NEED IT, Yellow = WANT IT), and program their Tele #s into your speed dial.
2) Never Never save receipts for the purpose of adding up what you invest (they are only for proving to the next owner that you really paid for all those upgrades)
3) Never EVER show the admiral the receipts
4) Blow into your open wallet frequently, clicking your heels, and saying "there's no place like the boat, there's no place like the boat, there's....

Within no time she'll look great!
