Cabin Carpet Suggestions....or alternative

Just did my mid-winter visit to the boat and found some water leakage into the cabin. I'm so bummed. It totally soaked my carpet, so I ended up pulling it all up today because it is ruined. I'll need to scrape and/or sand some glue off the floor to prepare for new carpet or something else. Does anyone have any suggestions for type of carpet to use inside the cabin, or perhaps another alternative to carpet?

I had something similar happen to me. After removing the wet carpeting and thoroughly drying the inside of the cabin, I replace with top quality marine carpet with rubber backing. But I did NOT glue the replacement carpet. Two or three times I have had to dry out the carpeting, but it was easy to remove, let it dry and then replace it. That carpet is still in excellent shape 10 yrs later.
 
I used a dense pile nylon carpet and installed it with a quick release spray adhesive. It's a smelly, hot job and the glue makes you a little goofy.
 
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I can't use the goofy glue; I'm goofy enough already.
