This place.
I spend more time reading and digesting secrets and stories than I do posting or telling stories. Maybe its this damn Iphone since its like typing with mittens on.

I have to say, even though post volume is lower, theres less action, the posters on this site, for the most part, are classy, respectful folks. Nothing pisses me off more than holier than thow boaters and bashing brand names, or putting diwn other boaters because of "perceived" quality of boating experiences.

Rock on fellas.

Yes Nbr rocks. Have experienced it.
Time and place for everything

NBR is another matter altogether, but yes you are right about BoaterEd being a very knowledgable and helpfull boating site.

I resent being called "classy!" Sheez, I have a reputation to upkeep :p

I used to google whatever issue I was having or new repair I was attempting. So many of the results I would get were from this forum, that's what brought me here. There are a few steady contributors in the engine forum, whose advice I take as gospel. Never met them, never talked with them, but time after time they have given the correct advice/ instructions. That's what has kept me here. Get stumped on a project, ask the question in the engine forum, check the thread a little while later and am usually on my way with the right diagnosis a short time later.

This board also has a very diverse group of knowledgable people.

STEELA probably had his iPhone Mittens on and meant to type "trashy"

Lmao. No I meant classy.
I watch this and other forums.
There are comments about other's boat brands that would bever be said face to face.
Respecting biating in general. All brands, types, and economic capacity I find here.

Thanks for the kind words. The subscriptions are critical for keeping us running.

I have been, and still am, on a number of different boating forums. I must agree that there is a great deal of information and friendly bantering on this forum that is not found elsewhere. More people post, respond, react, correct, and acknowledge that do elsewhere. I've shared what I know or have experienced and I've learned from others based on their knowledge and experiences. That's true open democracy and great fun. NBR is another story altogether. I try to stay away from it because of what I perceive as its bias and nastiness. Occasionally, I jump in there and add my two cents. I'm usually sorry afterwards that I even bothered. I'll stick with the boating and leave NBR alone. Hy

I can't count how much money and/or headaches I have saved by consulting this forum! I have also learned so much about boating and boat systems just by reading the questions and answers. I will always be indebted to this forum for that. [:-hearts][:-hearts][:-hearts] to you all!

In NBR I have gotten wonderful assistance on other topics as well, especially computer issues [:-grumpy]

I have saved much more then $20 a year on BE and will continue my support as a sign of my appreciation to all of you and especially Les!

^^^ I know there's a reason why I keep hang around this site. :D

Well said STEELA!
I hoist a beverage in your direction from my stool at the Grog!
(Teach me how to run the Merrimack when conditions are crazy at the mouth!)
Cheers -
Steve

How ya doin Riverbed! I need to get up your way more.

I wish I could tell you anything about the Merrimack Mouth now. Used to have to hang within ft of the North Jetty to stay out of the washing machine. Army Core of Engineers dredged the mouth and beach front 2 years ago. Now the entire mouth is a disaster.

I guess I shouldn't have used the word ARMY! That's NBR word only???? LMAO
