I went thru a storm on the way home the other day and many of my gauges fogged up. When they dried out, they left a film on the inside of the lens so bad you cant read the gauge. Can you remove the lens on sea ray gauges? I think they are teleflex.

Thanks

My guess is that you would have to remove them and take them apart to clean the inside of the lenses. I suspect I could do that because of my electronic technician experience. I actually did this on a couple of my gauges. Not because the lenses were dirty, but because the bezels cracked and the gauges fell out.

Most people would not be comfortable attempting this and there's a good chance of damaging the gauges or not getting something back together correctly.

Contacting the manufacturer of the gauges is probably your best bet.

Or you might contact Lauderdale Speedometer & Compass. They repair all gauge makes and may offer suggestions as the folks I talked to replace the lens on a Floscan were very friendly & helpful & had a 1 day turnaround. . You may find the bezel would need replacing after accessing the underside of the lens, but I believe one or 2 RO's here at B/E have reported they had gotten inside their gauges with no real damage. But the gauges are not designed for normally removing lenses.

Depending on the Sea Ray, they may be Faria. If so, hair dryer. BTDT on my Regal. Worked well. Almost had to do it on Saint Max. The August heat did it for me.
