Whew! I bet she's going stink when they get it upright.

It looks like it has rotated quite a bit already.

they have made a lot of progress. Looks like a 24/7 operation

It's amazing how well controlled this is. I was wondering what would happen once it got to a certain point. Like, how did they keep it from flopping onto the platform once it was say 20 degrees off vertical?

they had audio for a while, but could only hear waves
Apparently, they only used cables and hoists for the 1st 25 degrees. The final 40 degrees os so is done with ballast tanks that they welded on the port side. They aren't even using pumps, the water is entering through holes beneath the waterline

Did you see the dents and dings in the super structure? It looks like it laid into the bottom hard at a couple of points.

Thanks Bruce I was looking for a time lapse. Saw the initial then had to leave.

An impressive operation.

Ken

So what happened to any valuables or clothes people left behind?
I know when I am on a cruise I lock cash, passports, jewelry in the safe.
I wonder how they controlled that.

somewhere in one of the articles said they would be removing the safes to get valuables back to the passengers
