Countdown, T - 0! It's here, It's here!

It's great to see that some of us are in the final week of prep for the unofficial/official/rommer/non-upstream/whatever start of the 2008 boating season!

It's looking much better for us as well since I was able to sort out my helm seat issues. I may be moving a dirty boat but it is looking like an April 1st move to our summer home is doable.

Damn...we still have an ice covered Lake Erie here...won't be for a while I'm thinking

Was up at a friends property last thursday where we keep the boat for winter (pine hill - catskills-ny ) got 3-4 inches of fresh snow unfourtanetly could not bring boat back down because the steep hills were icy and didn't want to risk it . mabey better luck this weekend. a few miles east tward the thruway and no snow must have only been in the higher elevations. cain't wait to splash in again should be fine this weekend (fingers crossed )

Bottom is painted. Need to cut off one of the old zincs on the trim tabs and put the new one on and it is ready to get wet. Maybe Friday if the weather is nice this weekend. I did not put up the bimini/camper canvas just the mooring cover so I need a non raining day to bring it over.

Still looks possible for a launch of the season as long as we don't have to spend the weekend shoveling snow off the boat. Winter just doesn't want to let go!!

Friday Night: A chance of rain and snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 24.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 51.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29.

I may hold off on the launch for this weekend. Temps supposed to be cold. So it looks like if I dont launch it this weekend then It wont get launched until April 11th.

Looks like next weekend for splash down , can't wait .

Please don't make fun of people that don't know which side of the lighthouse to go on.

For some, it's a very sensitive subject ;)

Heck, it was a 50/50 shot....who knew!!

Wha? Lighthouse?

Go to the light my son, go to the light.....

Read my favor post you you will know....

And yes, the Fire Boat Did....

I'm in my slip as of today. Didn't think they would put any boats in today with the crappy weather, but on Tuesday I told them I was ready to launch and if they wanted to, they could put me in earlier than scheduled (week of 3/31).

Cool John, I'll be in in a week or 2 now. I will have them launch it when I get back from Florida. Did not want to take the chance with the temps dropping into the 20's. The weather temp wise looks better after the weekend though. C-Ya on the dock,
