We are trying to clean the thick black rubrail on my buddy's '89 32' Trojan. We can buff it back to black with the Makita but it still dries cloudy or with a white shadow. Anyone know of a chemical or process to get it back to black? My 31' Tiara always cleans up and stays black. Thanx, Chuck.

I had a similar problem on my Regal white rub rail. I used Aurora boat clean plus and boat scrub. I don't recall the order. It cleaned up as if brand new.

Don't laugh a this, but brake fluid works really well.

MEK solvent but swipe, don't rub. Lacquer thinner also but it's not as strong and you can rub it harder. There is also a product called Black Again that adds gloss and depth to black.

Try anti-freeze on your black rubber tires. seens to do a great job.
